Church Bag Activities {Part 1 of 5}

WEEK 1
I've been thinking for awhile now that I needed to get something AGAIN put together for our Sunday Church Bag for Sacrament Time. Our 2 youngest still need those activities to do so they will have a greater chance of listening. We usually have not planned well from week to week so we are running late and I will either grab just a few things or nothing at all. So starting yesterday I made a resolve to be prepared every week for Sacrament time. Each week I will have an extra (xlarge ziplock) bag, that changes, to put in our church along with the regular every week items(this post will come on Friday). This way I can just grab the appropriate bag for the appropriate week. Already to go.

This is a dry erase board with special crayons(Walmart had the best price).

This is our "FunStuf" binder. The cutouts are from the Friend magazine & laminated.

Inside the binder with the special wipe off crayons.

*TIP: for both these items we use our microfiber rags. They seem to wipe the board and laminate pages off better. Pin It

  1. Brilliant! I, too, look for ways to entertain my kids in Sacrament Mtg. This is a wonderful idea! I especially like your "FunStuf" binder. I'm going to have to make one!
    Thanks for sharing your wonderful ideas! I'm looking forward to seeing the remaining parts :)

  5. I'm trying to decide on the best type of dry erase crayon. You just use a non-brand name - do they wipe of easily (my 3 yr old likes to cover the whole page and the problem with markers is it stains the page red or green, or whatever)? Also, are they difficult to write with, I want him to be able to practice letters but regular crayons you have to push REALLY hard. Advice anyone??

  6. Tippettsfam- thanks for your question. The special crayons came with that board. They take a little more time rubbing off(using a microfiber rag) but the black doesn't stain as much as the white side. you could try the "wipe off crayons" I used for the binder. They don't feel as "waxing" if that makes sense. good Luck!

  7. laminating can get expensive, if you want a cheaper way of doing this, use clear sheet protectors. They work great and are super cheap compared to the laminating sheets!

  8. The dry erase crayons wipe right off with a damp cloth. That could be a Sunday after church activity possibly!
