{FingerPrint} People
Our oldest daughter wanted to jazz up her school binder.
She took paint, dipped her thumbs in it and placed it on cardstock paper.

Art Day Idea
Today was the last Art project for the year. I wanted it to be extra special.
[I did each child's name in vinyl, took out the positive part and had them stick it onto some wood(the backside of beadboard).]
I used permanent markers but they used crayons & colored pencils(pencils worked awesome!).
It was fun to see the creativity that these kids have- it was impressing! Pin It

{Shamrock} Decoration
Today was my day to do crafts with my daughter (& classmates) at school. So to get ready for the next holiday we did this St. Patrick's Day Hanging Decoration.
I used this colored sand(found at Lowe's on clearance 2 years ago for only 2.18! What a deal), thin popcycle sticks, glue and ribbon. I hot glued all the stick boards(11) together before I got to school to make it easier. Using the template of a shamrock the kids traced the lines with their glue bottles then poured the sand over it.

{I am Thankful for. . .} ART
I am the art mom in my girls' classrooms so for the month of November we did this.
I found the shaving cream swirl art idea here. Then I added my own spin to it. I only had red food coloring so that is what we used. After they did the middle design I encouraged them for the month of November to write one thing each day that they are grateful for. On Thanksgiving Day they could share with their family what they are thankful for. I hope it helps these 3rd & 4th graders to realize how blessed they truely are!
TIPS: red food coloring goes along ways. Also I had them share the droppers/sticks/plexiglass on a bigger table instead of their indivdual desks.
