Present {Name} Gift Tags

I love using monogrammed letters.
 I thought it would be fun to do this for the kids' presents.
Then I thought it would look cute to add this to the gifts we gave the neighbors, our friends and family.

 I just printed it up in a square in Microsoft Publisher.
 Just repeat the name. Cut and Paste.
Used a letter template to cut out the letter. Use a hole punch for the hole.
They are ready to be attached to the presents!

{M&A} Bridal Shower

I was so excited when my cousin asked if I could host a Bridal Shower for her brother who is getting married. The bride to be is so sweet, I had to make it special. I found some great deals so I didn't have to spend too much.
I made this yard pick using a Real Estate sign base. Then drilled holes & glued on a piece of wood that I made into a chalkboard. It can be used it for any occasion.
Entry Way.
Tissue Pom Poms (above the food table).
"The Better Bargain" Game: #1-10. Each number had 2 items. They had to guess which one was cheaper(the better bargain). The Bride was able to take all these items with her.
The Food Table.
Menu Board(that she gets to keep). I glued a frame(that I purchased at second hand store) onto a piece of wood, painted it then painted the center into a chalkboard.
Personalized items.
Dips with crackers and fruit. I used dollar store frames with dry erase markers for food labeling.
Different kinds of cookies(she gets to keep the jars).
Date Night Ideas.
Aulina's Lego Bride.
Another Aulina creation.

{Wrapping Up} for a Wedding Idea#2

My friend's daughter is getting married today. I love how their Wedding Gift turned out!

I made this gift with wood slats and sanded the paint to give the "aged" look.

I LOVE this quote and I love to personalize items.

The top box is filled with dinner napkins so I used that for the vinyl name.

I added a fabric strip garland with my scraps(on jute string) then attached a wooden "T"(got for 20 cents at Michaels) then "aged" the edges with my stamp pad.

Tidbits of Eagle {Wedding #2}

One more cake for my niece Rachel.

Her Cream Puff Cake{ aka Croquembouche = traditional French Wedding Cake}. Since there won't be enough for everyone I'll have platters with some drizzled with chocolate & caramel.

How I did it:

I covered the cake board with foil then adhered the styrofoam cone (Michael's 6"x 24" ) with carpet tape.

Crumble up the foil wrap into a long strand.

Adhere the foil strand to the cone with straight pins going up the cone like a winding stair case.

"Frost" the cone with caramel(so the cream puffs will stay a bit better) and cut the skewer sticks(about 1 1/2") to fit inside. Place almost frozen cream puffs(yes I'd love to take the credit for making these yummy treats but Costco had so many boxes- so much easier) onto each stick. I used about 130 cream puffs.

I put the same "C" I used for the other cake to top it off.

Water Station.

Hot Chocolate Station.

Table Centerpieces.

Where the Bride and groom will stand.
My SIL Fabiana has such great visions for decorating!

Tidbits of Utah {Wedding #2}

We just got back from attending my niece's wedding in the Draper Temple in Utah.
My SIL is helping my talents grow by asking me to do the wedding cake again. I love baking so I know it will at least taste good even though its not perfect on the outside(still trying to get that right).

I used this for the base of the cake. Its a wall mirror-I just took the mirror out and built a wood base to fit inside.

For the top of the cake: I cut a wood "C", spray painted it silver and adorned it with rhinestones.

The ribbons with charms(charms are under the cake plate)for the "Pull Cake". Since my husbands' family is from Argentina, they have a different wedding tradition. All the girls not married get to pull a ribbon from the cake. Whoever pulls the one with the ring is the one who gets married next. I cut some PVC pipes (the same height of the bottom cake)into the bottom cake to adhere the cake plate for the next cake tier.

This is the 3 Tier cake after finishing it. {Before the wedding}

This is the 2 Tier cake for the reception. . . .{After the wedding}
My heart skipped many beats when I saw the cake had fallen over. I had to fix it the best I could. I think between putting too much filling in the cake and the frosting not setting up properly, it just couldn't help but fall over. At least they will have some fun memories!

The reception room(done by the grooms family).

Bridal Shower for Rachel

My niece is getting married next month so her Bridal Shower was today.
Oh, how sweet it is to be reminded of young Love.

I made this "Towel Girl" inspired from here but the tutorial to put it together is here.

The hair piece in the Towel Girl is actually for Rachel to wear.

The Towel Girl's dress are towels from the Dollar store that I added some strips of ribbon to one and a fabric "C" to the other.

To make the flower on the top towel, I cut a strip of fabric from a Tshirt. Start winding then twist then wind and so on.

Sew the flower onto the towel in a circular stitching pattern. Attach some beads in the middle.

"It's All Good" is their menu board for meals. I painted their initials in the corner to personalize it.

While Rachel opened gifts we played Bridal Shower Bingo. It was a fun way to be involved in the gift opening. Pin It
