Creative Tips & Ideas for the Savvy Homemaker
Interesting. I have never heard of storing batteries in the fridge, why do you do that? I Googled it and found these two links, in case you are interestedhttp://ezinearticles.com/?Should-I-Store-my-Batteries-in-the-Refrigerator?&id=460363http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Can-We-Store-Batteries-In-The-Fridge-/1675261PS I really love your blog! :)
Love that idea even to store outside of the fridge! lol btw, i love your blog too! thanks for all the wonderful ideas!
Genius! I just threw away one of these...shoot!
thanks ladies. thanks for the headsup on those sites. My mom always store the batteries in the frig that is why I do it. But it is nice to know that they still last if you don't refrigerate them.
Even if you don't store them in the fridge, what a great idea for storing them in the cupboard in those "jars"...Perfect idea! thank you.
I found your pin and thought this was really a genius idea. I actually applied it at home, too. So, thank you for sharing. :) Furthermore, batteries are hazardous and can greatly affect human and environmental health if not disposed properly. So proper disposal of hazardous wastes at home is never an option. We should take part in preserving our Mother Nature. Just saying.
9V BATTERIES STORED TOGETHER TOUCHING EACH OTHER CAN CAUSE A FIRE OR EXPLODE!!!!! DO NOT STORE THEM TOUCHING ONE ANOTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I HAD 2 9V BATTERIES IN MY POCKET, A FEW MINUTES LATER MY POCKET STARTED HEATING UP TO THE POINT I COULD FEEL IT ON MY LEG! THE BATTERIES WERE SO HOT I COULD BARELY TOUCH THEM TO GET THEM OUT OF MY POCKETS!!!!!!!!!!
This is dangerous and stupid! If the contacts touch --- which is very likely --- they will discharge the batteries and possibly start a fire! Keep batteries in their packages or lined up without contacts touching.
Thank you for your comments!
